I sell a few dozen products through Amazon FBA, and I'm getting ready to place another order with my supplier. Some items sell quickly but leave very little profit after storage and fulfillment fees, while others move more slowly but have better margins. Seller Central gives me plenty of reports, but I'm struggling to put everything together and figure out which products actually deserve more inventory. How do other sellers compare profitability and sales trends before deciding what to reorder?

It's easy to feel good about a product that sells every day until you notice how little money is actually left after Amazon takes its cut. A slower SKU can look boring in the sales report and still make you more money by the end of the month. Put net profit per unit next to the last 30 or 60 days of sales, then add how many days of stock you already have. That should make the strong reorders stand out pretty quickly.

After a while you end up jumping between reports and still can't tell whether a product had one good week or is actually gaining momentum. That's where a longer view can save you from reordering something that's already starting to slow down. For that kind of check, compare some Amazon analytics tools for sellers here: https://easync.io/articles/amazon-analytics-tools/ . Look for something that makes seasonal spikes, falling demand and longer-term trends easy to spot. That gives you a better idea of what may still be selling well by the time the next shipment arrives.
