CRES highlights climate-resilient crops at Agrotica 2026

CRES (Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving) participated in Agrotica 2026 in Thessaloniki, held from 12 to 15 March, where its Biomass and Geothermal Departments showcased activities supporting sustainable agriculture.

As part of the event, a workshop organised on 13 March focused on crops with improved resilience to climate change. The session presented research and results from several projects, including CARINA, WaterMellon PRIMA, MIDAS, IASIS, RUNFASTER4EU, SNUG and DIMITRA Life.

The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on innovative cropping systems and explore solutions that support the transition towards more resilient and sustainable agricultural practices.

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration among research organisations, experts and stakeholders in advancing climate-adaptive agriculture.
