CARINA Showcased at the 9th Agri-Food Cooperatives Congress in Spain

On March 27–28, 2025, Cooperativas Agro-Alimentarias de España, a partner in the CARINA project (Spanish Co-ops), participated in the 9th Congress of Agri-Food Cooperatives, held in Palma de Mallorca. The event gathered nearly 1,000 participants under the themeSustainability with People”, highlighting the importance of inclusive and innovative approaches in the agri-food sector.

Among the many topics discussed during the congress, Cooperativas Agro-Alimentarias de España dedicated space at their stand to present the CARINA project, placing a special focus on the carinata trial in Aragón, carried out in collaboration with the Cereales Teruel cooperative.

Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to learn more about CARINA’s contributions to sustainable agricultural systems through informative materials and video content, emphasizing the potential of oilseed crops like carinata to support climate-resilient and low-input farming practices.

The event was a valuable opportunity to share CARINA’s work with a broad audience of cooperative members and agricultural stakeholders from across Spain.
