CARINA Project Showcased at CULTIVA 2025 in Aragón, Spain

On May 8, 2025, the CARINA project was presented at CULTIVA 2025, an agricultural fair held in Alcañiz, Teruel (Aragón, Spain). This annual event gathers over 1,000 participants, including farmers, technicians, researchers, and agri-food companies, offering a dynamic space for showcasing innovation and exchanging knowledge in the agricultural sector.

With the support of the Arax Network and Agri-food Cooperatives of Aragon (FACA), CULTIVA has become a key reference point for agricultural advancement in the region. The fair serves as a major platform for the transfer of knowledge and demonstration of innovative farming solutions.

In this year’s edition, CARINA partners Camelina Company España (CCE), Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Aragón (FACA), and Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España (Spanish Co-ops) took part in this event to present the CARINA project to attendees. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the project’s goals focused on sustainability and crop diversification through the introduction of camelina and carinata into agricultural systems.

In addition, Camelina Company showcased a small camelina trial, allowing farmers to see the crop firsthand, ask questions, and discuss its management and potential. The on-site demonstration helped promote greater understanding of camelina’s adaptability and its role in low-input, resilient farming systems.

The participation at CULTIVA 2025 marked another step in CARINA’s ongoing effort to engage directly with farmers and stakeholders, strengthening ties with local communities and promoting sustainable agricultural practices through innovative crops.
